The hot summer made me very lazy. I paced myself well, little trips here and there, all the while rescuing fabric. Now it's getting dark earlier and I don't mind sewing in the early evening hours with the window open and soft breeze blowing the curtain.
The big summer news is that two local stores are now carrying my pillows. They are quite different in their inventory making it so easy to make pillows for their customers. One store owner has a small baby gift section so my latest collection is cute, one of kind fun pillows for Baby's Room. Most of the pillows I have made are in her store, but I'm building up my online inventory, too. These pillows are great gifts for new moms who need lumbar support and lap cushioning. The Baby's Room collection features multiple pillows with the same fabric but shape and trim differ making each one of kind. Almost all the fabric is gender neutral and the trim determines baby boy or baby girl.
I'm having so much fun designing this collection. And the very best part? I'm going to make a few pillows for my first grandchild's room due in January!
If you live in the area, you can see my pillows at Beauty Decor and Art Gallery in Newtown Square, Pa and Accents on Main in Wayne, Pa. More about the stores in my next blog.
